Start with what you know you can handle. Remain consistent in that and increase over time. Also, you prioritize the things you care about. Change your perspective. There’s 24 hours in a day. Allah is only asking for 25 minutes out of those 24 hours. Everything that we do, all that we have, all that we want, the breath that we take is because of him. So he deserves all of the praise and all he’s asking is for 25 minutes.

It is completely normal to have doubts, but as believers it is sinful to be willfully ignorant. When in doubt, seek clarity and understanding.

I take a very practical approach, grounded in Quran and Sunnah confronting real life issues.

With respect, patience and the understanding that just because you don’t see eye to eye right now doesn’t mean you guys need to be at war. As you grow, you have to also give your parents the space to grow as well. They still see you as their little girl/little boy, you have to allow them time to see you as an adult. Also, your parents only want what’s best for you, so when you do receive push back from them, it may be so that they see something you can not. Take a beat to process what they’re saying, don’t fly off the handle immediately, but also know you have to live your life for YOU. You can’t live your life for your parents. Healthy boundaries are important to establish in any relationship.
